The theories of heredity by Gregor MENDEL were based on his work with pea plants.
His work was so brilliant and unprecedented that it took thirty-four years
for the rest of the scientific community to catch up to it.
Heredity is in our genes.
We do inherit them from our parents.
And they are determinant when it comes
to typical family diseases, color of eyes,
color of hair and many other characteristics.
One can hide ancestry,
genes can't.
They are the blueprint of an individual.
Mendel established the bases for modern genetics,
a technical approach to genealogy and history
that tries to isolate the determinant factors to our heritage.
